Every business must have a policy for managing health and safety that reduces risk, prevents harm and meets UK health & safety laws. If you have 5 or more employees, your policy must be written down.
As well as preparing your policy, you need to assess the risks in your work place and, if necessary, implement controls to mitigate these risks.
There are also insurance, first aid and reporting requirements that need to be met.
